This green penguin comforter is deliberately flat and floppy, 23 cm of corduroy, soft synthetic fur and cotton muslin that a newborn can grip by a wing and drag along. The muslin panel matters: it is the fabric Kaloo chose because it holds a familiar scent, so the comforter can carry something of a parent into the cot.

An embroidered heart on the chest and contrast tags give the sense of touch somewhere to go. Filled with 100% recycled polyester made from reclaimed plastic bottles and machine washable at 30 degrees.
