Chimpanzees, most commonly known as ‘chimps’, are primates and one of the great apes. There are only 4 species of great apes in the world. Chimps can grow up to 1.3 metres when standing and are covered in dark brown or black hair, except from their hands and face. Chimps are highly intelligent. They’re one of the few animals that can use tools to get food and water.
